B19. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING

Warm up the hybrid system and turn on the
"A/C" button, and then check for smooth op-
eration of each control as follows:
With navigation system
the air conditioning and heater, press the
"MENU" button. Select the "Climate" and
press the "ENTER" button to display switch-
es for automatic air conditioning control.
a ) Press the blower button (Hi) and set the
temperature to 85 °F (29.5 °C) with the
"TEMP" button.
b ) Press the windshield air flow button and
check that hot air flows out of the front
defroster vents.
c ) Set the air flow mode in "FOOT" with the
"MODE" button and check that hot air
flows out of the foot vents.
d ) Check that the air flow volume changes
when the air intake control button is
pressed.
e ) Press the "AUTO" button and the "DU-
AL" button (indicator on) in order and
lower the temperature of the driver's side
with the "TEMP" button.
f ) Check that the display of the air flow
mode and the air flow volume changes
automatically.
g ) Set the temperature of the driver's side
at 65 °F (18.5 °C).
h ) Check that the temperature of the pas-
senger side remains at 85 °F (29.5 °C).
i ) Set the air flow mode in "FACE" with the
"MODE" button.
j ) Check that cool air flows out of the driv-
er's side center vent and hot air flows out
of the passenger's side center vent.
k ) Press the "DUAL" button (indicator off)
and check that cool air flows out of both
center vents.
l ) Check that cool air flows out of the side
vents and the rear console box vents.
m ) Check that the outside temperature dis-
plays.
n ) Press and hold the "OFF" button.
