B07. CHECK TILT AND TELE-
SCOPIC STEERING WHEEL
Check tilt and telescopic steering wheel op-
eration.
a ) Manual Switch Operation
Tilt Steering Wheel:
With the "POWER" switch in the ACCESSO-
RY or ON mode, push the control switch up
or down to set the steering wheel in the de-
sired height position.
Telescopic Steering Wheel:
With the "POWER" switch in the ACCESSO-
RY or ON mode, push the control switch
away from driver or toward driver to set the
steering wheel in the desired position.
*: With driving position memory: When the
driver's seat belt is fastened, the steering
column can be adjusted regardless of
"POWER" switch mode.
b ) Automatic Tilt-away Operation (without
driving position memory)
• Automatic tilt-away operation
1. Switch the "POWER" switch OFF.
2. Check that the steering column moves
away from the driver and tilts up.
• Return operation
1. Switch the "POWER" switch to AC-
CESSORY or ON mode.
2. Check that the steering column auto-
matically move to the previous posi-
tion.
c ) Automatic Tilt-away Operation (with driv-
ing position memory)
• Automatic tilt-away operation
1. With navigation system only: Set the
driver's seat movement to a setting
other than "Off" using the function
customization system.
NOTE:
Refer to Owner's Manual for customizable
features.
2. Switch the "POWER" switch OFF.
3. Unfasten the driver's seat belt.
