FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

FUEL SYSTEM
(*) R efer to page of base shop manual (GX120UT2/
160UT2/200UT2).
G asoline is highly flammable and explosive . Y ou
can be burned or seriously injured when handling
fuel .
• K eep heat , sparks , and flame away .
• H andle fuel only outdoors .
• W ipe up spills immediately .
R emove the fan cover ( page 5-2*).
R emove the starter motor ( page 10-7*).
S tarter motor type :
P lace a suitable container under the carburetor .
T urn the fuel valve lever [1] to the ON position .
L oosen the drain screw [2] and drain the fuel .
• R oute the fuel tube properly ( page 2-11*).
FUEL GAUGE
(GX160T2/GX200T2)
FUEL FILTER (I f equipped )
CHECK:
C heck the fuel filter for clogs or damage .
FUEL TANK JOINT
2 N· m (0.2 kgf · m , 1.5 lbf · ft )
CHECK:
C heck the screen of the fuel tank
joint for clogs or damage .
FUEL TANK BOLT (6 x 29 mm )
10 N· m (1.0 kgf · m , 7 lbf · ft )
FUEL FILLER CAP
O-RING
FUEL FILLER CAP PACKING
CHECK:
C heck for deterioration or cracks .

FUEL TUBE
CHECK:
C heck for deterioration or cracks .
