Air bleed i n g
Whenever evidence i s noted o f some air
having leaked i n to the oil l i ne from the oil
tan k in a mach ine brought i n for servicing,
or if the oil pump has to be removed for
servicing, be sure to carry ou t an a i r b leed i n g
operation with t h e o i l pump i n p l ace before
retu rning the machine to the user.
H ow to bleed the air:
running condition , loosen screw
out the a ir; and, after mak i n g sure that the
trapped air has al l been b led, tighten the
screw good and hard.

Checking oil pump capacity
Use the special tool, check the pump for
capacity by measuring the amount of o i l the
pump draws d u ring the specified i n terval .

Have the tool f i l led with SU Z U K I CC I
SU P E R 2 0 I L and connect it to the
suction side of the pump.
•
Holding engine speed at the 2 000 r/m in
by turn ing the th rott le stop screw, m ove
the lever u p to the fu l ly open position and
let the pump d raw for 6 m i n utes. For this
operation, the read i n g
measu ring cyl inder should be from 1 .02
to 1.26 ml.
