  • Page 3 2. Place the dicing grind on a support to make sure a minimum of 5 cm (2”) free space under the dicing grid. A sauce pan can be used to support the dicing grid. Use the HALLDE inner lock ring tool and a mallet to carefully knock loose the ceramic bushing.

  • Page 5 6. Undo the screws that lock the outer locking ring. 7. Carefully flip over the dicing grid and remove the outer looking ring. 8. Remove and replace the knives. 9. Assemble the outer locking ring. Note! New Nylock screws must be used, do not re-use the old Nylock screws.
  • Page 6 10. Position the dicing grid on the support, sharp side of knives facing up.Use a mallet and the HALLDE inner lock ring tool knock the inner locking ring in position. Note! Make sure that the locking ring is pushed all the way down against the knives.
  • Page 7 11. Turn the dicing grid upside down and place it on a flat surface, protect the knives with a cloth. 12. Position the ceramic bushing in the dicing grid, chamfered surface facing up. The ceramic bushing should easily slide up and down and reach the bottom of the dicing grid. When at the bottom the edge of the ceramic bushing should be just below the steel edge of the dicing grid frame.
  • Page 8 13. Remove the ceramic bushing and apply Loctite activator 7649 to the outside of the ceramic bushing. Let it dry for a minute. It can either be brushed on or sprayed. Only a thin cover is needed.

  • Page 10 15. Insert the ceramic bushing with the chamfered side up and make sure it rests at the bottom. Wipe off any excess fluid on both sides. 16. Rest the dicing grid with knives facing down and let the Loctite set for 2 hours before the dicing grid us put back in use.
