    Ethernet is the communications standard specified in IEEE802.3 and is the most widely installed small-sized LAN technology. The KR2S series graphic recorder is connected to a LAN established by the Ethernet and performs reception of measured data, setting of various parameters, etc.

    3 Communication protocol 3-1 MODBUS protocol The KR2S series graphic recorder employs MODBUS protocol as the communications protocol. The MODBUS protocol has RTU mode and ASCII mode that can be selected by keys on the front of this unit or the communications.

    Falling off of connections is one of communications failures. Terminate the communications cable with crimp type ring or spade terminals with an insulation sleeve. (The terminal screws of KR2S series graphic recorders are M4mm and the terminal screws of the line converter are M3.5mm.)
