Singing along with karaoke video tapes (continued)
Backing up your singing (Vocal Assist)
This unit can assist your singing in
case you forget the lyrics while you
are singing. The unit fills in the vocal
for you automatically if you stop
singing into the microphone. Use
karaoke stereo hi-fi tapes which have
the accompaniment music on the left
channel and the accompaniment plus
vocal on the right channel.
Press KARAOKE CONTROL repeatedly until ASSIST appears in the display
window. Each time you press KARAOKE CONTROL, the indicator in the
display window changes as follows:
PON n ASSIST n *ASSIST n Normal (No indicator)
* This ASSIST is for the Assist Pro function.
Hiding the lyrics (Assist Pro)
The Assist Pro function of Vocal Assist will hide the lyrics that appear on the
screen. If you stop singing into the microphone, the lyrics will reappear.
To set to Assist Pro, press KARAOKE CONTROL repeatedly until ASSIST
PRO appears on your TV screen.
To cancel the Vocal Assist function
Press KARAOKE CONTROL repeatedly until the indicator disappears.
Note
• The Vocal Assist function does not work with the following tapes:
– Hi-fi tapes on which the same sound is recorded on the left and right channels,
– Monaural recorded tapes.
