6400LF2 Converged Network Appliance Installation Guide Front-Mount-Only in a Two-Post Rack System WARNING Your chassis’ rack mount kit provides the option for mounting the system in a two post front-mount-only configuration. However, mounting your chassis using this option is not recommended for use in most rack systems. If a front-mount-only configuration is desired, it is highly recommended that you verify through your rack vendor that your specific rack is designed to support the excessive weight and stresses this type of mounting configuration imposes on the rack.

The following section describes the safety requirements for each one. AC Power Supplies Mains AC power disconnect The AC power cord(s) is considered the mains disconnect for the 6400-S and must be readily accessible when installed.

6400LF2 Converged Network Appliance Installation Guide Connecting the Power and Cables The 6400LF2 can come with either AC or DC power supplies. If AC power supplies are provided, the appliance will also include an AC power cord and power adapter for connecting the unit to the AC outlet.
6400LF2 Converged Network Appliance Installation Guide Administration You can configure the 6400LF2 EdgeMarc and 6400LF2 EdgeProtect appliances using a simple web-based user interface. Configure the 6400LF2 EdgeView appliance using YaST, a pre-installed, LINUX-based system management tool. Configuring the 6400LF2 EdgeMarc and 6400LF2 EdgeProtect You can configure the 6400LF2 EdgeMarc and 6400LF2 EdgeProtect appliance using a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
