    3.1 Hardware Installation **Do not power on your modem before your finished the following installation. ○ 1. Plug the male end of the RS-232 cable into the connector marked RS-232 on the back of the modem. 2. Plug the other end of this cable into the serial port on the back of your computer. ○...

    3.2 Driver Installation 3.2.1 Installation Procedures for Windows 64-bits (XP/Win7/Vista) If your computer is using Windows 64-bits (XP/Win7/Vista), please open and browse the related folder of CD. e.g. F:\Driver\Win7_64. There is a .INF file in the related folder for installation. You may refer to these following steps to install.
  • Page 7 2. The Device Manager will show a unknown device, such as Analog Modem. Move your mouse on this unknown device and click right key of mouse, and select Update Driver Software. 3. Select Browse my computer for driver software.

    3.2.2 Installation Procedures for Windows 32-bits (XP/Win7/Vista) If your computer using Windows 32-bits (2K/XP/Win7/Vista), please open the related folder of CD. e.g., F:\Driver\Win2K_XP. There is a Setup.exe file in the related folder for installation. You may use the Wizard of installation CD to install.

    4. Commands Most people use the communication software programs to tell modems what to do. Therefore, you may not use the commands in this chapter.
