Backlight

The backlight illuminates the display and keypad.
When you press any key or open the folder, the
backlight illuminates. It turns off if no key is pressed
within a given period of time, depending on the
Backlight option (Menu 6-2-2) set in the Display
menu.
To specify the length of time the phone waits before
the backlight turns off, set the Backlight menu
option (Menu 6-2-2); see page 109 for further
details.

Service Light

The service light on the folder flashes to indicate an
incoming call, message or alarm and flashes for a
few seconds when you turn the phone on or off. It
lights up while the battery is charging with the travel
charger; the color of the light turns green when the
battery is fully charged.
