• History of protection function
When the protection function has worked, its history is
stored in memory with a backup. Even if no abnormality
is noted while servicing the unit, an abnormality which
has occurred previously can be defined as long as the
backup data has been stored.
The history of the protection function is cleared when
DIAG is cancelled by selecting PRESET RESERVED
(Memory initialized) of DIAG menu No. 8 or when the
backup data is erased.
*To clear the protection history only, use the sub-menu
No.5 "PROTECT His (PrHist <- RESET) of DIAG menu
No.13".
• Display during menu operation
During the DIAG operation, the menu list described in the
section of the startup screen appears on the superim-
posed screen and the function at work is indicated on the
FL indicator. The contents displayed during the function
operation are described in the later section on details of
functions.
• Operation procedure of DIAG menu and
sub-menu
There are 14 menu items, each of which has some sub-
menu items.
DIAG menu selection
Select the DIAG menu by using the UP/DOWN

Sub-menu selection
Select the DIAG sub-menu by using the LEFT/RIGHT
(Reverse)
(Forward) keys.
• Functions in DIAG mode
In addition to the DIAG menu items, functions as listed
below are available.
• Input selection

• Master volume
* Functions related to the set menu are not available.
• Initial settings used to start DIAG
The following initial settings are used when starting DIAG.
When DIAG is canceled, these settings are restored to
those before starting DIAG.
• Master volume: -40dB
• Input: TV
• Effect level: 0dB
• Audio mute: OFF

● プロテクションの履歴
プロテクションが働いた場合、履歴をバックアップして
記憶しています。サービスのときに異常が認められなく
ても、バックアップが残っていれば、お客様のところで
起きた異常を区別できます。
プロテクションの履歴は、ダイアグメニューNo.8で
PRESET RESERVED （メモリーの初期化） を選んでダイ
アグを解除した場合や、バックアップが消えたときには
クリアされます。
※ プロテクション履歴のみクリアーしたい場合は、ダ
イアグメニューNo.13のサブメニューNo.5 " PROTECT
Hist （PrtHist←RESET） " でクリアできます。
● メニュー動作中の表示
ダイアグ中、モニター画面には起動画面の項で説明したメ
ニュー一覧が表示されます。本体のFLディスプレイには動
作中の機能が表示されます。機能動作中の表示内容につい
ては、後述の機能詳細で記述します。
● ダイアグメニューとサブメニューの操作
ダイアグにはNo.1∼14のメニューがあり、そのそれぞれに
サブメニューがあります。

リモコンのUP/DOWN （逆送り） 、 （順送り） キーで選択
します。
サブメニューの選択
リモコンのLEFT/RIGHT （逆送り） 、 （順送り） キーで選
択します。

● ダイアグ中の機能
ダイアグメニューの他に、以下の機能が動作します。
・インプット切り換え
・ミューティング
・ナイト
・パワーオン/オフ
・マスターボリューム
※ セットメニュー関連は機能しません。
● ダイアグ開始時の初期設定
ダイアグ開始時に以下のような設定になります。ダイアグ
解除時にはダイアグ開始前の状態に戻ります。
・マスターボリューム: -40dB
・インプット: TV
・エフェクトレベル: 0dB
・オーディオミュート: オフ
・ダイアグメニュー: DSP THR ALL
