Operator’s Manual. The information on the model plate is very important if you need help from your dealer or the MTD customer support department. • Every snow thrower has a model plate. You can locate it by standing on the right side of the unit in the operating position and looking down at the auger housing next to the discharge chute.

SECTION 7: CONTROLS The snow thrower controls are conveniently located DISCHARGE CHUTE CONTROL CRANK at the operator’s position on the tractor. The discharge chute control crank is located on the left hand side of the snow thrower. The chute crank controls the direction in which snow is thrown.
DEEP OR DRIFTED SNOW OPERATING TIPS In deep, drifted, or banked snow, it will be necessary to use full throttle and first speed. Drive 1.
