5. Caller-ID Detection Test; LCD"4" indication
Select the test mode "4" from the test mode idle state using the
VOLUME +/- keys. Press the "ANSWER" key and the system
enters the test mode "4" [Caller-ID Detection Test mode].
• The system waits for FSK of Caller-ID with the communication
line opened and in the DSP idle state (microphone, speaker,
send/receive mute state).
• When the FSK is detected, the indication "10" appears on the
MESSAGE COUNTER of the LCD. When the FSK is detected
normally once, the LCD remains turned on.
• The system returns to the test mode idle state when the "ERASE"
key is pressed during the Caller-ID Detection Test mode.
6. Parallel-Connected Telephone, OFF-HOOK Detection Test; LCD
"5" indication
Select the test mode "5" from the test mode idle state using the
VOLUME +/- keys. Press the "ANSWER" key and the system
enters the test mode "5" [Parallel-Connected Telephone, OFF-
HOOK Detection Test mode].
• The communication line is closed.
• The system monitors the Parallel-Connected Telephone, OFF-
HOOK port (IC201, 26-pin: port 31). If the port is in the "LOW"
level, the ANSWER LED remains turned off. If the port is in
the "HIGH" level, the LED lights up. If the "HIGH" level is
detected once, the LED remains turned on.
• The system returns to the test mode idle state when the "ERASE"
key is pressed during Parallel-Connected Telephone, OFF-
HOOK Detection Test mode.
7. Audio Record/Playback Test; LCD "6" indication
Select the test mode "6" from the test mode idle state using the
VOLUME +/- keys. Press the "ANSWER" key and the system
enters the test mode "6" [Audio Record/Playback Test mode] .
During the Audio Record/Playback Test, the microphone record
test, LINE record test, speaker playback test, LINE playback test,
beep speaker playback test and the beep LINE playback test are
performed.
• The communication line is in the opened, the DSPs enter the
following state: Microphone is turned on. Speaker, send and
receive are muted (i.e., audio path state during the microphone
recording mode.)
• When the system enters the Audio Record/Playback Test mode,
the key-touch tone sounds whenever any key is pressed and the
system enters the following modes.
• The system returns to the test mode idle state when the "ERASE"
key is pressed during Audio Record/Playback Test mode.
(1) Microphone recording sound path setting
The microphone recording sound path can be set by pressing
the "GREETING PLAY" button.
The communication line is opened and the DSPs enter the
following state. Microphone is turned on, speaker, send and
receive are muted.
(2) LINE recording sound path setting
The LINE recording sound path can be set by pressing the
"GREETING REC" button.
The communication line is closed and the DSPs enter the
following state. Microphone is muted, speaker is turned on,
send is muted and receive is turned on.
(3) Speaker playback sound path setting
The speaker playback sound path can be set by pressing the
"TIME" button.
The communication line is opened and the DSPs enter the
following state. Microphone is muted, speaker is turned on
and, send and receive are muted.
(4) LINE playback audio path setting
The LINE playback audio path can be set by pressing the
"REPEAT" button.
The communication line is closed and the DSPs enter the
following state. Microphone is muted, speaker is turned on,
send is turned on and receive is turned on.
(5) Record test
When the "MEMO" key is pressed while the recording audio
path has already been set, the system enters the following
record test. In the record mode, all data (except the VOICE
GUIDE data) of the flash memory are fully cleared, the
recording start ringer sounds and the recording starts. When
the "MOME" key is pressed again, recording terminates and
the system returns to the audio path setting state.
The audio path is not changed by this test.
All keys except the "MEMO" key are disabled during
recording.
(6) Playback test
When the "BOX1" key is pressed while the playback audio
path has already been set, the sound that is recorded during
the record test is played back. Playing back continues until
the "BOX1" key is pressed again or playback reaches its end.
The audio path is not changed by this test.
Pressing the Volume "+" and "-" keys are valid and they set
the sound volume.
All keys except the "BOX1" and the Volume "+" and "-"
keys are disabled during playback.
The system returns to the audio path setting state upon
completion of the playback.
(7) Beep playback test
When the "SKIP" key is pressed while the playback audio
path has already been set, the beep sound is played back.
Playing back continues until the "SKIP" key is pressed again.
The audio path is not changed by this test.
All keys except the "SKIP" key are disabled during playback.
The system returns to the audio path setting state upon
completion of the playback.
(8) DTMF send test
When the "BOX2" key is pressed while the playback audio
path has already been set, the DTMF "D" is sent. Sending
continues until the "BOX2" key is pressed again.
All keys other than "BOX2" are disabled.
8. ANSWERMODE Slide Switch Test; LCD "7" indication
Select the test mode "7" from the test mode idle state using the
VOLUME +/- keys. Press the "ANSWER" key and the system
enters the test mode "7" [ANSWERMODE Slide Switch Test
mode].
The slide switch positions are judged from the LED indications
as follows.
AUDIBLE INDICATOR ON
AUDIBLE INDICATOR OFF
ANNOUNCE ONLY

NEW CALL LED lights up
IN-USE LED lights up
