APPLICATIONS

○ Flush cutting and pocket cutting of various materials
○ Peeling of tiles, caulking, etc.
○ Polishing wood materials, etc.

PRIOR TO OPERATION

1. Power source
Ensure that the power source to be utilized conforms
to the power source requirements specifi ed on the
product nameplate.
2. Power switch
Ensure that the switch is in the OFF position. If the
plug is connected to a receptacle while the switch is
in the ON position, the power tool will start operating
immediately and can cause serious injury.
3. Extension cord
When the work area is far away from the power
source, use an extension cord of suffi cient thickness
and rated capacity. The extension cord should be
kept as short as practicable.
WARNING
Damaged cord must be replaced or
repaired.
4. Check the receptacle
If the receptacle only loosely accepts the plug, the
receptacle must be repaired. Contact a licensed
electrician to make appropriate repairs.
If such a faulty receptacle is used, it may cause
overheating, resulting in a serious hazard.
5. Preparing and checking the work environment
Make sure that the work site meets all the conditions
laid forth in the precautions.
6. Checking the Accessory
○ Check to see if the application tool is a genuine
component recommended by the manufacturer and
that there are no cracks or other damage.
○ Check to see if the application tool is properly installed
as instructed.
7. Changing application tools (Fig. 3)
CAUTION
● Be sure to switch power OFF and the electrical
cord has been disconnected from the receptacle
when changing application tools.
● Never touch the application tool immediately
after use. The metal is hot and can easily burn
your skin.

ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION

● The lever is attached to a strong spring. Be very
careful not to get your fi ngers caught when
pushing the lever down.
NOTE
○ Make sure the facing of the application tool is correct.
○ Make sure the application tool is properly set on the
protrusion of the attachment ring.
(1) Pull the lever up. There will be some resistance, but
make sure the lever is pulled until it is parallel with the
main unit.
(2) Pull and turn the guide sleeve until " " is aligned with
the " " mark.
(3) Pull out the tool shaft.
(4) Attach the application tool to the attachment ring,
making sure the tool's hole is fi tted to the ring's
protrusion. The angle of attachment for the application
tool can be set in 30° increments.
(5) Insert the tool shaft.
(6) Align the guide sleeve's " " mark to the " " position.
(7) Push down the lever.
(8) Align the holes when sticking the sanding paper to the
sanding pad.
