When you connect transceiver modules, connect the transmit port of the transceiver module at one end
to the receive port of the transceiver module at the other end.
IMPORTANT:
No intermediate devices are allowed between neighboring members.

Setting the operating mode to IRF mode
By default, the device operates in standalone mode. To assign the device to an IRF fabric, you must
change its operating mode to IRF mode.
To set the operating mode of a device to IRF mode:

been assigned to the device.
