    PREPARING THE CAMERA Installing the Battery Make sure that the power of the digital still camera is off before inserting or removing the battery. 1. Slide the battery cover in the direction of the [OPEN] arrow. 2. Insert the battery in the correct orientation as shown in the illustration. 3.

    Docking Cradle With the docking cradle, you can position your digital still camera and connect it to other media devices to play back your images, video clips, or voice recording files (output to a TV monitor or another recorder recording device, for example) on your desktop. The cradle will facilitate the battery charge of the camera in conjunction with an AC power adapter.

    Charging the Battery The state-of-charge of the battery will affect the performance of the digital still camera. To maximize battery performance and lifetime, it is recommended that you fully charge the battery using the optional AC power adapter and then fully discharge it (through normal use) at least one time. Please note that the digital still camera must be powered off before charging the battery.
