TROUBLESHOOTING

CAUSE
OFF/ON switch is in the "OFF" position Turn OFF/ON switch to the "ON"
Fuel valve in "OFF" position
Choke is in "RUN" position
Out of fuel
Stale fuel or water in fuel
Spark plug wire disconnected from
spark plug
Spark plug wet from fuel (flooded)
Spark plug incorrectly gapped
Bad spark plug
Spark plug wire has shorted
Engine oil low
Ignition inoperative
Air filter is dirty
Stale fuel or water in fuel
Clogged fuel filter
Carburetor or ignition malfunction
Valve stuck
Out of fuel

SOLUTION
position
Turn Fuel valve to "ON" position
Turn Choke to "Choke" position
Fill fuel tank
Drain fuel tank and carburetor.
Replace with fresh fuel.
Connect spark plug wire
Remove and dry spark plug. Reinstall
spark plug and start engine with
throttle lever in the fastest setting.
Correct spark plug gap
Replace spark plug
Contact service center
Add engine oil
Contact service center
Clean air filter
Drain fuel tank and carburetor.
Replace with fresh fuel.
Replace fuel filter
Contact service center
Contact service center
Fill fuel tank
