VXi Reveal™/Xplorer™ Quick‐Start Guide Wearing and Adjusting the Reveal To get the best performance from our noise‐canceling technology, angle the microphone boom towards the corner of your mouth. Positioning is important; small adjustments in microphone placement can improve performance. The headset can be worn on either ear, with or without the ear hook. Choose the ear bud that best fits your ear. To adjust the fit, rotate the ear bud so that the stabilizer loop (if applicable) presses against the back curve of your ear. Using the Headset in High‐Noise Situations The microphone boom is extendable for greater levels of noise cancelation in noisy environments. Simply slide the boom in or out as needed. Charging Connect charger cord to the headset’s USB charging port. The headset indicator lights will illuminate red when charging and blue when fully charged. Turning Headset On/Off Slide the switch to turn the headset on or off. One‐Touch Pairing (NFC) Confirm that your cell phone is NFC‐capable. Make sure that NFC is enabled on your cell phone. Turn the headset on. 4) Place the NFC zone of your cell phone against the NFC zone of the headset and hold together while your cell phone registers the headset. 5) Follow the prompts on your cell phone until it confirms pairing is successful. VXi Reveal™/Xplorer™ Quick‐Start Guide Note: NFC and One‐Touch Pairing are dependent on your cell phone. The size and sensitivity of your phone’s NFC zone and how to connect the headset may vary between devices. Manual Pairing Placing Headset into Pairing Mode When you turn the headset on for the first time, it will go into pairing mode automatically. If you want to pair the headset with another device, you will need to manually put it into pairing mode: 1) Turn the headset on and make sure it does not connect to another device. 2) Press and hold the MFB for 5 seconds, until the lights alternate flashing between red and blue. You will hear the voice prompt “Discovering” (in English). 3) Headset will be visible for pairing to devices for 120 seconds. Pairing to a Cell Phone 1) Make sure that other Bluetooth devices are turned off or out of range. 2) Place headset into pairing mode. 3) Put your cell phone in Bluetooth Search/Scan Mode per the manufacturer’s instructions. 4) Select “VXi Reveal” or “VXi Explorer” to pair. (Passcode is “0000” if needed.) 5) When connected, the headset will give you the voice prompt, “Your headset is connected” (in English). Multi‐Point Mode Multi‐point mode is the default mode for this headset. It enables the headset to be simultaneously paired and connected to two devices. In multi‐point mode, the headset will monitor both devices and allow you to switch between them when there is an incoming call. To use Multi‐Point: 1) Pair each device you wish to use with the headset. Power off the headset. 2) Enable Bluetooth, or power on both paired devices, then power on the headset. 3) You should hear the voice prompt “Your headset is connected” (in English) twice, as the headset connects to each device. 3 ... -
