Installation

The device should generally be installed (as depicted on the
cover) horizontally or tilted 90° to the right side, in order to guar-
antee that the condensate can drain from the device unimpeded.
Stand-alone installation may require a higher installation position
in order to allow the condensate to drain. A suitable pad should
be placed underneath to protect the coating and the heat pump

Assembly

The following connections must be established on the device:
Flow and return cooling water pipe

Flow and return primary circuit

Condensate outflow

Power supply
Data cable between heat pump manager (N1) and bus dis-
tribution board terminal (X5)
Return sensor for common primary circuit (only with combi-
nation of active and passive cooling)
When making the connections, the hydraulic plumbing diagram
found in the appendix and the circuit diagram must be observed.

5.1 Flow and return cooling water

Prior to connection, the heating system must be flushed to re-
move any impurities, residue from sealants, etc. Any accumula-
tion of deposits could cause the cooling system to completely
5.2 Flow and return primary circuit
The same antifreeze should be used in the brine circuit as in the
heat source system. The antifreeze concentration should be in
5.3 Condensate outflow
Condensate that forms during operation must be drained using a
conventional hose (connection diameter 12mm). The hose must
not be bent.
possibly located below. With tilted installation the pad must be
chosen so that the device cover is not jammed.
It must be positioned so that opening the cover for access to the
components inside is possible without any difficulty.
NOTE
The switching behaviour of the 3-way distribution valve should be
checked to ensure flow through the heat exchanger in cooling operation
and through the heat pump in heating operation. If a shutoff valve is
present in the heat flow, it must close during cooling. In the event of
incorrect switching behaviour, the actuator must be switched according
to the manufacturer's installation instructions or an actuator with
different switching behaviour must be used.
break down. The heating system must be filled, de-aerated and
pressure-tested. Air-relief cocks are present on the device.
accordance with the heat pump requirements. The heat source
system must be de-aerated and checked for leaks.
