    5.0 GETTING STARTED WITH Z3Cam-4K This section gives step-by-step instructions on using your PC to access the Z3Cam-4K user interface. Here you’ll be able to change the settings to fit your video streaming needs and control the camera. In addition to the Z3Cam-4K, a Windows PC, a 12V power supply and an Ethernet cable are required.

    5.2 Access the User Interface Using ZFinder ZFinder is a PC utility that allows you to find any Z3 Technology product on your network. If you have not yet downloaded this to your computer, you can find this program at Z3Cam-4K.Z3technology.com.

    DOC-USR-0103-06 7.3 Sony VISCA Camera Control The Z3Cam-4K leverages Sony 4K camera technology. Remote control of the camera video input is supported by Sony’s VISCA protocol. VISCA commands can be sent from a remote PC using the same IP connection that carries the video. Control actions include zoom, focus, aperture and more. Additional instructions for implementing VISCA with the Z3Cam-4K are available from Z3 Technology upon request.

    DOC-USR-0103-06 8.3 Set a Static IP Address The Z3Cam-4K supports DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). This is enabled by default, allowing the camera to dynamically receive an IP address at startup. The IP address that is assigned can be seen through using ZFinder. If you prefer, you can set your camera to a static IP address. If you would like to have your PC set to a static IP address, you will need to set your camera to a static IP address as well in order for it to be discoverable by ZFinder.
