User Guide
It is the responsibility of the vehicle operator to ensure their vehicle
is parked in a safe and responsible manner.
1. a) Manual transmission: When leaving the vehicle, it is the user's
responsibility to ensure that the gearshift lever is in the NEUTRAL
position and the parking brake is engaged in order to avoid accidents
upon remote starting.
b) Automatic transmission: When leaving the vehicle, it is the user's
responsibility to ensure that the gearshift lever is in "Park" in order to
avoid accidents upon remote starting.
(Note: Make sure that the automatic vehicle cannot start in "Drive".)
2. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the remote starter is disabled
or put into valet mode before servicing.

    In passive mode, the starter kill will automatically arm 30 seconds after the last door is closed or the ignition is turned off. The remote starter will not arm if a door, hood or trunk is left open, or if you re-open a door, hood or trunk within the 30-second delay.

    With this added security feature, the system will prevent your vehicle from starting with the ignition key when armed. If your remote starter was installed with the starter kill option, one will not be able to start your vehicle with the key unless the system has been unlocked and disarmed first, or put into valet mode.
