ADJUSTING THE TAILSTOCK BUSHING FOR CENTER
This procedure applies only to TALENT
The concentricity of the tailstock centerline and the spindle centerline must be
within .0006 inches [0.015 mm].
ADJUSTING THE BUSHING
1. Loosen four bolts "H", Figure 6.9; then, hand tighten.
2. Tighten two upper bolts "J" to move center sleeve "I" downward.
or
Tighten two lower bolts "K" to move center sleeve "I" upward.
3. Torque four bolts "H" to 12.5 lb-ft [17 N•m]
4. Torque upper bolts "J" and lower bolts "K" to 11 lb-ft [15 N•m]
5. Check the concentricity between the tailstock centerline and the spindle centerline and adjust
as necessary.
