DOLBY DIGITAL SURROUND
I
n order to receive the full
reproduction capability of true
Dolby Digital Surround Sound
you require the proper use and
arrangement of a Subwoofer and
surround speakers. The DPTV's
extra speaker connections make it
possible to create a multichannel
soundfield effect previously
available only within a movie
theater or concert hall. With the
new 5.1 discrete digital channel
surround sound system the listener
can now attain a true soundstage
realism for audio signal
separation, imaging, and pinpoint
sound placement.
Note: If the Front External
Speaker Out terminals are used for
Left/Right audio channel playback
of Dolby Digital material, the
FRONT SPEAKER slide switch on
the rear of the DPTV must also be
placed to the EXT(ernal) position
in order for the connection and
signal routing to operate properly.
