Improper handling of the food processor may result in damage
to the food processor.
− Do not use the food processor in continuous operation.
The maximum recommended operating time is 30 seconds.
Allow a pause of 2 minutes after each use for cooling
down. There is a risk of overheating if the food processor is
operated for longer periods.
− Do not insert food above the MAX line indicated on the
bowl.
− Make sure that the lid is properly locked before starting
the food processor.
Tangy Sweet Red Pepper Hummus
Serves 2–3.
Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 oz. Hot sweet Piquante Peppers, drained, plus 1 tablespoon of juice from
jar.
• 1 can (16 oz.) Garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons tahini paste
• 1 garlic clove
• 4 tablespoons olive oil, plus a little extra for serving
• Salt and pepper
Preparation method:
Set aside 1 tablespoon of the beans for serving.
1. Place the peppers, plus 1 tablespoon of the reserved juice, beans, lemon
juice, tahini, garlic and olive oil into the bowl with the chopping blade and
season with salt and pepper.
2. Attach the lid and process until the mixture is smooth, taste and adjust the
seasoning if required.
3. Serve the hummus with the reserved chickpeas on the top and drizzled
with a little more oil.
