Connections:
1. Be sure to switch off the power of the related equipment before
making any connections.
2. Balancing cables are used to connect the mixer console (or the
other signal sources) "MAIN OUTPUTS" to the amplifier's "INPUTS".
3. In STEREO mode:
A. Input stage: connect the cables from the signal sources to the
Amplifier's INPUT Jacks, XLR.
The balanced XLR inputs are wired as follows:
1. Pin 1 = shield (ground)
2. Pin 2 = hot (or +ve)
3. Pin 3 = cold (or -ve)
B. Output stage: connect speaker cables to the OUTPUTS---Speakon
connectors.
The Speakon connectors are wired as follows:
1+ = hot (+ speaker terminal)
1- = cold (- speaker terminal)
4. In BRIDGE mode (only for Sapphire II):
A. Input stage: connect two cables from signal source to Input A and
Input C, Input B and Input D are not connected.
B. Output stage: connect the speaker cables to the OUTPUTS by the
bridged Speakon connector.
The bridged Speakon connectors are wired as follows:
1+ = hot (+ speaker terminal)
2+ = cold (- speaker terminal)
5. Plug all the sound system's power cord into suitable AC outlets,
properly grounded and with adequate current supply.
6. Make sure the signal source is power up to deliver the right signal
amplitude to the amplifier.

disconnect the amplifier
from mains voltage
before making audio
connections. Also, as an
extra precaution, turn
down the attenuators
during power-up.
