Failure
Motor does not run Battery inserted incorrectly

vice.

Troubleshooting

Cause
Battery empty
Battery overheated
Battery defective
Motor overheated
Chain brake locked
Saw chain jammed in the work-
piece
Chain jumped off the chain wheel Place the chain onto the chain
Chain brake mechanism soiled
Chain brake defective
Saw chain tension too high
No saw chain lubrication
Saw chain oil tank empty
Guide bar soiled with chips
Remedy
Insert the battery into the intake
until it locks.
Charge battery
Let the battery cool off.
Replace battery.
Allow motor to cool down
Release chain brake
Free the chain saw from the work-
piece.
wheel and tension it properly.
Clean mechanism and lock / re-
lease the chain brake several
times.
Contact customer service.
Correct the saw chain tension.
Check the saw chain lubrication,
refill saw chain oil if necessary
Clean the guide bar from soiling.
