Child Safety

Seatbelts and seats can become hot
in a vehicle that has been closed up
in sunny weather, they could burn a
small child. Check seat covers and buckles
before you place a child anywhere near
them.
Read and follow the child restraint
manufacturer's instructions when
you are fitting a child restraint.
Do not alter or modify child restraints
in any way.
Do not hold a child on your lap when
the vehicle is moving.
Do not leave children unattended in
your vehicle.
On hot days, the temperature inside
the vehicle can rise very quickly.
Exposure of people or animals to
these high temperatures for even a short
time can cause death or serious heat
related injuries, including brain damage.
Small children are particularly at risk.
Destroy the child restraint if it has
been in a severe crash, even if no
damage is visible.
