Place the YPAO microphone at your listening
position and connect it to the YPAO MIC jack
on the front panel.
Note
Place the YPAO microphone at your listening position (same
height as your ears). We recommend the use of a tripod as a
microphone stand. You can use the tripod screws to stabilize the
microphone.

Note
To cancel the operation, disconnect the YPAO microphone before
starting the measurement.

To start the measurement, press ENTER.
The measurement will start in 10 seconds. It takes
about 1 minute to perform the measurement.
Note
To cancel the measurement, press RETURN and then follow the
procedure in "Error messages" (p. 44).
"Result Info." appears on the front display when the
measurement finishes.

To check the measurement result, press the
cursor key (E).
If "No Warning" appears on the front display, the
measurement is properly completed.

Press the cursor key (D) or RETURN.

To save the measurement results, use the
cursor keys (B / C) to select "Save" and
press ENTER.
To finish the measurement without saving
the result, use the cursor keys (B / C) to
select "Cancel" and press ENTER.

You can change the YPAO settings (YPAO On/Off and YPAO
Volume) in the "Setup" menu (p. 50).

Notice
The YPAO microphone is sensitive to heat, so should not be
placed anywhere where it could be exposed to direct sunlight or
high temperatures (such as on top of AV equipment).
