Format Card

Use this option to format a memory card.
Formatting the memory cards permanently deletes all data. Data that has
been deleted cannot be recovered. Make sure to save important images to a
computer before formatting.
To start formatting, select Format on the screen that is displayed and press the k
button.
Do not turn the camera off or open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover
during formatting.
This setting cannot be selected while a wireless connection is established.

Notes About Operating the Camera Buttons
If the camera buttons are pressed while recording a movie, the sound of the button
operation may be recorded.
Using the Menu
The Camera Settings Menu
Set whether or not to enable the operation of camera buttons during
movie recording. When Enable is selected, you can use the camera
buttons during movie recording, as described below.
Photo button: Capture still images.
k button: Add highlight tags.
H button: Turn the monitor on or off.
I button: Switch to slow motion recording (high frame rate
recording).
The default setting is Disable.
Set the amount of time that elapses between when you start
recording a movie and when the monitor turns off. You can select 10
s, 30 s, 1 min, 5 min, or Off.
When Off is selected, the monitor remains turned on during movie
recording.
The default setting is 30 s.
