Replacing the system board

WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety

NOTE: Your computer's Service Tag is stored in the system board. You must
enter the Service Tag in the BIOS setup program after you replace the
system board.
NOTE: Replacing the system board removes any changes you have made to
the BIOS using the BIOS setup program. You must make the appropriate
changes again after you replace the system board.

Align the system board with the slots on the chassis and place the system board
in position.

Replace the eight screws (6-32UNCx6.3) that secure the system board to the
chassis.

Route the front-audio cable, fan cable, processor-power cable, power-button
board cable, power-supply unit cable, USB 2.0 cable, USB 3.0 cable, optical-drive
power cable, hard-drive cables, and USB 3.1 Type-C port cable (optional) through
their routing guides and connect the cables to their respective connectors on the
system board.
