Section 4 - Troubleshooting
Test your DCH-Z310 by pushing firmly on the test button with
your finger until the horn sounds.
If the sound pattern is three beeps, pause, and another three
beeps with a flashing red LED, the alarm is working properly.
If the LED is lit yellow:
Tamper Indication
If your alarm has been tampered with (removed from its original
location), the yellow LED will stay lit. The alarm will also continue to
sound until it is placed back into its mounting bracket.

Testing Your Smoke Alarm

If the LED is lit red:
Standby Indication
After installing the battery, pressing the test button will put the alarm
into standby mode and the red LED will flash once every 10 seconds
or so. It will automatically exit this mode after 10 minutes, and the red
LED will only flash once every few minutes.
Alarm Indication
If the detected smoke reaches the alarm threshold, the alarm will sound
while the red LED flashes.
