Section 4 - Troubleshooting

Replacing the Battery

If the low battery warning sounds:
In case the alarm begins to chirp once every 40 seconds or so and its yellow LED also flashes once during that period, this
means that the smoke battery in the alarm is almost out of power. Your controller will receive a low battery alarm and send
a low battery notification. This signal means that the DCH-Z310's battery is weak. You should replace it with a new CR123A
battery. This warning will last 30 days, but you should replace the battery immediately to ensure your home is protected.
Note: After the battery is replaced, press the test button to check if it is working properly.
Step 1:
Open the battery compartment and remove the old battery (if
applicable).
Step 2:
Insert the new battery into the compartment, ensuring that the
+ and - symbols are aligned properly. After the battery is installed,
you will hear a chirp which indicates the device has power.
Step 3:
Close the compartment cover.
