Manually Adding the Device to Your Z-Wave™ Network
The button on the front of the DCH-Z310 can be used to add or remove it from a Z-Wave network. It can also be used to reset
the device to the default factory settings.
If this is the first time you are adding the device to your Z-Wave network:
Step 1:
Make sure your Z-Wave hub or primary controller is in Network Wide Inclusion (add) mode.
Step 2:
Install the included battery to power on the device. When the battery is first installed in the device, it will enter Network Wide
Inclusion mode to pair with a hub or controller.
Step 3:
The device will be added to your Z-Wave network in about 5 seconds.
For all other times:
Step 1:
Make sure your Z-Wave hub or primary controller is in inclusion (add) mode.
Step 2:
Quickly press the button on the front of the DCH-Z310 three times to put it into inclusion mode.
Step 3:
The device will be added to your Z-Wave network in about 20 seconds.
