PortaSens II Data Logging Guide, Model C16 Data Logging Operation and Settings: The C16 logs or records time stamped, gas concentration readings in time intervals of 1, 5, 10, or 15 minutes. The logged reading range from 0 to the full range of the sensor, therefore, it is important to ensure that the correct sensor is used for the situation.
PortaSens II Data Logging Guide, Model C16 Data Logging: Key Functions: Clear (CLEAR) The Clear function clears the data logged memory from the device. This also resets the amount of sampling time remaining to the maximum value allowed. Any data logged samples not yet downloaded through the follow process will be lost using this function.

PortaSens II Data Logging Guide, Model C16 The data logging process is done completely through the monitor itself. The computer is only necessary to get the logged data off of the monitor and then from there it can be put into and Excel file or other forms of readable data.
PortaSens II Data Logging Guide, Model C16 Gathering the Data: Once the data logging is completed, the data can now be retrieved from the monitor for viewing. The following information will provide the information to retrieve the data from the C16 monitor.
PortaSens II Data Logging Guide, Model C16 Opening the Software: The software that was previously installed on the computer can now be opened to allow the connection to begin. An example of the icon is located below in Figure 3. Figure 3 The software will open and verify that the connection to the C16 monitor is ok.
PortaSens II Data Logging Guide, Model C16 Using the Software: On startup, the program displays the Configure tab, which is where the configuration for the downloaded data is set. The data can be stored in any folder of choice, by default it is stored in the file path of C:\Users\Public\Documents\Analytical Technology\C16Log\.
PortaSens II Data Logging Guide, Model C16 Data Download: The Download tab (pictured below) is where the data is retrieved from the C16 monitor and the filename(s) are displayed in the Destination pane of this tab. As long as the C16 monitor is connected to the computer and the indicator in the bottom left of the window says Link OK with a green background the data is ready to be retrieved.

Figure 8 In the Text Import Wizard Step 1 of 3 and Step 3 of 3 window all of the default choices can stay the same unless other specifics are required for the spreadsheet.
