    2 Introduction General Description The PES-100 is a powerful and innovative phoneline networking switch with twelve 1 Mbps phoneline networking ports and two 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ports. It is ideal for delivering a dedicated 1 Mbps bandwidth for each attached phoneline networking device.

    PES-100 Phoneline Ethernet Switch Each Fast Ethernet port has three LED indicators: Speed LED The Speed LED. indicates the current speed of the Fast Ethernet port. The LED is on when the speed is 100 Mbps; it is off when the speed is 10 Mbps.

    PES-100 Phoneline Ethernet Switch 4 Switch Operations Store and Forward The switch employs a store-and-forward architecture. The switch stores a complete packet in an internal buffer and does the complete processing, including error checking, before transmitting it to the network. Packets with error are discarded, so they will not disturb the network.
