ONIE on the G8272

1. Download and install a compatible Lenovo Network OS.
2. Obtain and install an ONIE Feature on Demand (FoD) license key.
3. Download and install an ONIE image.

Lenovo ONIE Quick Start Guide for G8272
The Lenovo RackSwitch G8272 comes out of the box with Lenovo Enterprise
Network OS (ENOS) already installed on the switch.
To ensure maximum security, ONIE is not available on the switch by default. To
enable the running of ONIE on the switch, you must follow these steps:
You can download the latest Lenovo NOS images from the following link:
http://support.lenovo.com/
You can install ONIE on G8272s running:
Lenovo Enterprise Network OS (ENOS) version 8.4 or later
Lenovo Cloud Network OS (CNOS) version 10.1 or later
Note: Check the Lenovo RackSwitch G8272 Release Notes associated with each
Lenovo Network OS to verify if ONIE is an available feature.
