    Stereo/Mono setting—SettingtheT0tothedefaultStereomodewillgiveyoutrueleft/right stereooutputwiththeactivespeaker(theonewiththevolumeknob)beingtherightchannel.If yousettheT0totheoptionalMonomodetheinput’sleftandrightchannelsaresummedtogether andthesamecontentisoutputtobothspeakers.UsetheMonomodeifyouwanttotakejustthe activespeakerwithyoutothegaragetoworkonyourcarbutdon’twanttobothertakingboth speakers.JustsettheT0tomonomode,plugintheactivespeakerintopower,andpushmusicto thespeakerwithyourBluetoothonyourphone.Ifyouwanttoincludeyourpassivespeakerinthe Monomodethat’sOKtoo. Auto Input Switch setting—InthedefaultsettingwhentheT0goestosleepitwillautomatically resettheinputselectiontotheAutoInputSwitchmode.Thiswayifsomeoneinyourfamilyuses theremotecontroltoselectaspecificinputthenanhourlateryouwalkintheroomyouwillalways knowthatsendingmusiconanyinputwillbringtheunitoutofsleepmodeandyourmusicwill play.MostpeopleshouldleavetheT0inthissetting. IntheoptionalsettingwhentheT0goestosleepitwillnotchangetheinputselection.Tobring theT0outofsleepmodetheusermustplaymusiconthelastinputselectedorhitanykeyon theremotetobringtheT0outofsleepmodethenselectthedesiredinput.Thisisprobablyaless frequentlyusedsettingbutsomeusersmayfinditusefulinacontrolledenvironment. Limiters setting—InthedefaultLimitersettingtheT0DSPincorporateslimiters(sometimecalled compressors).ThesearecommonlyusedinmakingPopMusicrecordings,andhavetheeffectof increasingtheoverallplaybackvolume.Theyareturned-onbydefaultintheT0tobothincrease themaximumplaybackvolumeandreducethepeakpowerdrawofthesystem.Whenthesystem isplayedatfullvolumewithheavybassdemandsandthelimiterturnedoff,itispossibletotrigger theprotectioncircuitresultinginatemporaryshutdown.ThisisOK,asthecircuitisbehaving exactlyasintended,butmaybeannoying.Thedefaultofthelimiters“Enabled”greatlyreduces thechancesofthishappening.Thelimitercanhoweverhaveanegativeeffectonthesoundat highvolumes,andsomeusersmayfindthesoundmore“open”withthelimitersdisabled.Welet you,theuser,decide.Justnotethatthemaximumvolumewiththelimiter“Disabled”willbealittle lower,andiftheprotectioncircuittripsyou’llneedtoturnitdownalittle! SUBOUT Setthecrossoverfrequencyonyoursubwoofertoitsmaximumsettingordisablethe subwoofercrossover. Setthevolumecontrolonthesubwoofertodesiredlevel. TheT0systemwillautomaticallysetthecrossoverfrequencybetweentheT0’sand yoursubwoofer. CONNECTING TO A BLUETOOTH DEVICE TheVanatooTransparentZerohasanaptXenabledwirelessBluetoothreceiverbuiltinto theactivespeaker.ConnectingtotheT0’sBluetoothreceiverisverysimple.Onceyou poweruptheT0theBluetoothreceiverbeginstosearchfordevicestoconnect.When yousee“VanatooT0”onyourlistofdevicesonyourmobiledevicejustselectitandthe connectionwillbecompletedwithinseconds.Youcannowplayyourmusicwirelesslyfrom yourBluetoothenabledmusicsource.Anytimeyouwanttodisconnectyourdevicefrom theT0youcaneitherdothatdirectlyonyourmusicsource(e.g.iPhoneorAndroidphone), oryoucanpushthe“Pair/Prog”buttononthebackoftheT0activespeaker,oryoucanhit “enable”followedby“BTPair”ontheremote.     When switching from a higher priority input to a lower priority input, the higher priority input must be OFF (or silent) for 7 seconds before the T0 amplifier will switch to the lower priority input. Thisenablestheamplifiertodiscernbetweenthehigherinputbeing turnedoffandnormalinter-tracksilencethusavoidingswitchingtothelowerpriorityinput betweenaudiotracks.This7secondwaittimeisnotnecessarywhenswitchingfromasource thatislowerinprioritytoonethatishigher.Therefore,switchingfromalowerpriorityinputto ahigherpriorityinputwillhappenalmostimmediately. www.vanatoo.com 12...

    • MakesureanotherBluetoothdevicedoesnotalreadyhaveconnectionwiththeT0.TomakesureallBTconnectionsare disconnectedhitthe“Pair-Prog”buttononthebackoftheactivespeakerorhitenablefollowedbytheBluetoothbuttonon theremote,thentrytopairyourdeviceagain. Audioisdistorted • Ifyouareusingtheanaloginput(3.5mmconnector)makesureyouarenotoverdrivingtheaudioinput.Turndown thevolumeonyouraudiosourcedeviceand,ifnecessary,turnupthevolumeontheactivespeaker. • Makesureyouarenotoverdrivingthespeakerdrivers.Turndownyouraudiosourcedevice.Youmaywanttoturn downthevolumeknobontheactivespeakeralso. • Makesuretheaudiosourcesignalisprovidingacleansignal. • Makesurethecablebetweentheaudiosourceandtheactivespeakerisproperlyseated.
