1. Open the hand valve, observe that water enters the water
reservoir, fills the tube from the reservoir to the evaporator,
and then shuts off.
2. Switch the master switch on.
A. There should be a short (15 second) delay before the
gearmotor starts.
B. After the gearmotor starts, the compressor will start.
4. On air cooled models, the condenser will begin to
discharge warm air, on water cooled models warm water
will be flow into the drain.
5. The unit should soon be making ice.
6. There Are No Adjustments to Make, so replace the
panels.
7. Check ice dispensing by holding a container in front of
the Tough Free ice sensor (just below the ice delivery
spout). Ice should flow from the spout when a container is
present, and stop dispensing when the container is removed.
8. Give the owner/user the manual, instruct him/her in the
operation of the unit, and make sure they know who to call
for service.
SANITIZING AND CLEANING
The following is a list of recommended maintenance that
will help keep the machine running with a minimum of
problems.
Maintenance and Cleaning should be scheduled at a
minimum of twice per year.
Ice Making System: In place cleaning
WARNING: Before proceeding with any cleaning and
maintenance operation, make sure that the electrical power
has been disconnected.
Monthly:
Wipe clean the ice storage bin liner, using a mild detergent
solution diluted in lukewarm water.
Rinse it and then thoroughly disinfect its surfaces by wiping
them with a liquid algaecide.
Clean the outside of the cabinet with a mild detergent
solution.
Cleaning of water system.
This is critical to the proper operation of the ice machine.
Call the authorized Service Agent at least twice per year.

EXTERIOR CLEANING

1. The ice chute may be pulled down to remove it from the
ice dispenser. Wash and sanitize it.
2. The sink grill may be removed for washing and sanitzing.
3. The sink should be flushed with hot water and wiped
clean with sanitizer.
4. The splash panel requires special attention to clean it.
A. Push and release the Splash Panel Cleaning Switch,
located between the ice and water spouts.
B. Wash the splash panel and wipe with sanitizer.
C. Re-push the clean switch or wait 3 minutes for the Touch
Free System to reset.
MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE
This is critical to the proper operation of the ice machine.
Call the authorized Service Agent at least twice per year.

FAILURE ANALYSIS

(What to do before calling for service)
If the machine does not work:
Is the power on?
Is the water supply on?
Are the water filters plugged up?
If the machine does not make enough ice.
Are the air or water temperatures too high?
Is the air filter in the machine dirty?
If the machine makes and unusual noise.
Has the machine received its twice per year maintenance?
