FEATURES OF YOUR VARIABLE TEMPERATURE KETTLE KE 8010
Optimal Brewing
Tea varieties are grown and produced in dif-
ferent environments and require specifi c water
temperatures to allow their unique fl avour and
aroma to develop during brewing.
To bring out the optimal quality and taste of
more delicate tea leaves, a lower temperature
will produce a better fl avoured cup of tea.
For example, steeping green, white or oolong
teas in boiling water may scald the tea leaves
and result in a bitter, astringent brew.
Brewing the tea for too long may also result in
a bitter, unpleasant taste, while brewing for too
short a period may leave the tea bland. For best
results always follow the specifi c directions on
the tea/coff ee packet.
To bring out the optimal taste and quality of your
favourite tea or coff ee, we recommend that you
use your Variable Temperature Kettle KE 8010 at
the suggested temperature for your selected tea
or coff ee.
The Variable Temperature Control Table on page
11 provides a guide to a range of tea and coff ee
varieties and the recommended temperature to
select on the control panel of the Variable Tem-
perature Kettle KE 8010.
