A minimum of six Dell SD7000-S Single Node or three Dell SD7000-S Dual Node servers are required to
form a storage RING consisting of six Physical Servers. Additional Dell SD7000-S servers can be added in
any increment.
Supervisor
In both solutions, a Dell SD630-S server functions as a central management console that monitors and
configures the Scality RING solution, referred to as the Supervisor.
The Supervisor operates passively and is independent from the Physical Servers and Connectors, allowing
the storage operations to continue even when the Supervisor is being serviced.
