2. Construction
This screwdriver
is
an electric tool of class III without
earth
wire

0740. The
motor
housing is made
of shockproof and glass
fibre
strengthened Poly-
amide. The machine is radio
suppressed
according to

inter-
ference
VDE
0875.
The machine
is
supplied with a two-core cable without earth

and must not be
earthed.
The machine is provided with a r
eversing
switch for clockwise and
anticlockw
ise rotation. It
must
not be
operated when t
he machine is running.

Main voltage must correspond to the operating voltage marked on
the
rating
plate i.e. the electric
tool
must be connected with an
existent 42-V-AC line or

ith a transformer EZ
47-20.

When screwing, press machine
tightly
on
the screw.
The
scr ewdriver
is provided
with an instant
release
clutch, so that
the
tool shaft
is separated
from the motor
when
r
eaching the
torque.
When
removing the machine
from
the
tightened scr
ew the clutch
engages
automatically. T
ightened screws
can
be
unscrewed
without
adjust
ing
the reversing
ring
(64).
Switch must
be
in the "Off" position when
connecting.
5. Maintenance and lubrication.
4. Adjustment of the Torque
The screwdriver can be adjusted for three ranges of torque (see
table)
by simply
exchanging
the pressure
spring
(57).
For exchang-
ing
the
pressure spring only unscrew the three screws
(66). First
relieve the
stre~s
of
the adjusting
ring
(64)!
By turning t he adjusting
ring (64) the
required
torque is
adjusted
by
m
eans of the pressure
spring
(57)
infinitely variable
within
a
r
ange
of torque.

Before carrying out any
maintenance
work always remember
to pull out the plug.
After
checking
the carbon
brushes
check that
they m ove easily
in
their holder.
They
should
be
replaced at
the latest
when
they have
worn
down to 5 mm
(3/1o").
Please,
only use
original
Fein carbon
brushes
(Order
R
eference
EZ
11-
66). After
fitting new brushes
run
tool
unloaded for
about
15 minutes to allow
brushes
to bed
in.
Please, do
not forget
to reorder
them in time.
