Operating the appliance

Note: Switch on the extractor hood when you start
cooking and switch it off again several minutes after you
have finished cooking. This is the most effective way of
removing the kitchen fumes.

Intensive setting
You can use the intensive setting if there is a large build-
up of odours and fumes/vapours.
Ž
Press the button.
This activates intensive mode.
Notes
‒ The intensive mode run time is limited to 6 minutes.
‒ After 6 minutes, the appliance will switch back to
the fan setting that was previously selected.
‒ Intensive mode can be activated when the
appliance is off; after 6 minutes, the appliance will
switch itself off again.

Fan run-on
With the fan run-on, the appliance continues to run at
the level that was previously set and switches off
automatically after 30 minutes.
1 Select the fan setting.
2 Press and hold button 2
This activates fan run-on mode. The button for the
selected setting will flash green.
Interval ventilation
With interval ventilation, the ventilation system switches
on automatically at the lowest level for 6 minutes every
hour. The interval ventilation switches off after 24 hours.
Switching on
Press and hold button 3μ.
This activates intermittent ventilation. Button 1
flash.
Switching off
Press and hold button 3μ or press button 1

Lighting

The lighting can be switched on and off independently
of the ventilation system.
Press the ž button.
This switches on the lighting.
Setting the brightness
Press and hold the ž button until the required
brightness is reached.
Saturation indicator
The saturation indicator will be lit continuously when the
metal grease filters fitted in the appliance are saturated.
For instructions on how to clean metal grease filters,
refer to the section entitled
Resetting the saturation indicator
1 Switch off the appliance.
2 Press and hold button 1
This resets the saturation indicator and it will go out.
