Troubleshooting
Some problems may be caused by minor faults that you can fix yourself. To do so,
follow the instructions in the following table.
If it is still not possible to resolve the problem with the cordless drill, contact the after
sales support. Do not in any case attempt to repair the cordless drill yourself.
Problem

The cordless
drill cannot be
started.

The rechargea-
ble battery does
not charge.
Possible cause
The rechargeable
battery does not have
enough power.
The rechargeable
battery has not been
inserted properly.
Right-handed/
left-handed rotation
selector

middle position.
The rechargeable
battery has not been
inserted properly.
The mains plug has not
been inserted properly.
The socket has no
power.
The rechargeable bat-
tery or the charger is
defective.
Solution
Recharge the rechargeable
battery

the rechargeable battery").
Push the rechargeable battery all
the way into the rechargeable bat-
tery holder until the rechargeable
battery locks into place.
Push the right-handed or
left-handed rotation selector all
the way in.
Push the rechargeable battery into
the charger

so that the con-
tacts of the rechargeable battery
extend into the charger. The re-
chargeable battery must lock into
the charger.
Check to make sure that the mains
plug is properly seated.
Check the socket by connecting
another device.
