When you open your packaging, first remove all items and check there are no parts damaged or missing. If you find anything wrong, do not operate the product until the parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified.

Product Care 24v Lithium-ion Cordless Drill with Hammer Action Important information – Product care This drill/driver uses Lithium Ion Battery Cells. Care MUST be taken to ensure both the safety and life of the pack is maintained. Ensure you have read all of the safety notes in the previous pages before using the drill/driver.
Battery Fitting / Battery Charging 24v Lithium-ion Cordless Drill with Hammer Action Fitting and removing the battery pack 1. To install the battery pack to the tool, align the raised portion of the battery pack (6) with the grooves on the bottom of the drill/driver, and slide it firmly into the handle until you hear the battery release button snap into place (Fig A).

Forward/Reverse 24v Lithium-ion Cordless Drill with Hammer Action Forward/reverse switch NOTE: You can only change the direction of rotation of the drill/driver using the forward/reverse switch when the trigger is NOT depressed. This switch will allow you to change the direction of the motor while the trigger switch is not depressed.
Inserting//Removing bits 24v Lithium-ion Cordless Drill with Hammer Action Inserting and removing bits This drill/driver has a keyless chuck, which means that a chuck (1) key is not needed to secure a bit in the drill/driver. Open the chuck (1) by unscrewing it in an anti-clockwise direction, holding the drill/driver as shown (Fig H).

Operatiion/Cleaning/Maintenance 24v Lithium-ion Cordless Drill with Hammer Action Belt clip The belt clip (5) is used to assist to clip the tool to your waist belt while working. Install the clip to the drill/driver by locating the belt clip tabs in the slots in the drill/driver and tighten the screw to fix the clip firmly (Fig I).

Yes, New battery packs are shipped in a low charge condition and must be fully charged before use. It takes approximately 1 hour to fully charge your new battery. Charging of batteries should not be undertaken casually.
