Network
This menu allows you to handle the connection between the phone and the
network, register manually the available networks and manage your preferred
networks.
GPRS attach
GPRS (Global Packet Radio Service) is a new mobile service allowing you to to
exchange data with high speed rates and always stay online (i.e. have a
GPRS attach
permanent connection to the Internet and WAP). Your phone allows you to

fully benefit from GPRS access in WAP and Internet.
This menu allows you to define the attach mode of your mobile phone to the
GPRS service:
-
At switch
allows faster GPRS connection. However it will increase energy consumption.
-
For data calls
only when required. This option allows to reduce energy consumption,

however it will increase the connection delay.
Register again
Provides you with a list of the networks available in the area when the manual
mode is selected. Select the network you want to register with and press
Register again
Preferred list
Allows you to build a network list in order of preference. Once defined, the
phone will try to register on a network, according to your preferences.

Call settings

This menu allows you to set all the call options (call forward, waiting, etc.).
In order to use the GPRS services, contact your GSM operator for an appropriate
subscription. You might also need to configure your phone with the GPRS settings
supplied by your operator, by using the menus described in this section.

In spite of these settings, you must still select the bearer (GSM or GPRS) in the
menus of each application to be used (WAP or data transfer).
