Shooting with Panorama Assist

The use of a tripod makes it easier to frame a picture. When using a tripod to stabilize
the camera during shooting, set Photo VR (A122) to Off in the setup menu.
Enter shooting mode M A (shooting mode) button M b (second icon from
the top*) M K M HI M U (Panorama assist) M k button
* The icon of the last scene selected is displayed.

Use the multi selector JK to select the
direction in which images are joined,
and press the k button.
If necessary, apply flash mode (A46), self-timer
(A48), macro mode (A50) and exposure
compensation (A51) settings in this step.
Press the k button to reselect the direction.

Frame the first portion of the
panorama scene and take the
first picture.
The camera focuses on the subject in
the center of the frame.
About one third of the image is
displayed as translucent.
To cancel shooting, press the k button.

Take the next picture.
Match the outline of the next image so
that one third of the frame overlaps the
previous image, and press the shutter-
release button.
