Assigning an IP Address Using the CLI

When you assign an IP address to the access point using the CLI, you must
assign the address to the BVI. Beginning in a privileged EXEC mode, follow
these steps to assign an IP address to the access point BVI using the console
port:

configure terminal

Interface bvi1
Step 4
ip address address mask Assigns an IP address and subnet mask
Step 5

Configuring Power

The access point receives power through the Ethernet cable or an external
power module. The following illustration shows the power options for the
access point.

Enter privileged EXEC mode.
Enter global configuration mode.
Enters interface configuration mode
for the BVI.
