Closed Captions

Closed captions are data that are hidden
in the video signal of some discs. Captions
are different from subtitles because
captions hearing are impaired by showing
the sound effects (e.g., "phone ringing"
and "footsteps"), while subtitles do not.
Before you select this function, please
ensure that the disc contains closed
captions information and your TV set also
has this function.

Press 34 to highlight 'Closed Captions'.

Enter its submenu by pressing 2.

Move the cursor by pressing 34 to
highlight the selected item.
On: Enable Closed Captions.
Off: Disable Closed Captions.

Angle Mark

Displays current angle setting information
on the right hand corner of the TV screen
if available on the disc.

Press 34 to highlight 'Angle Mark'.

Enter its submenu by pressing 2.

Move the cursor by pressing 34 to
highlight the selected item.
On: Enable Angle Mark.
Off: Disable the current angle setting
display.

Smart Picture

In this menu, you can choose a picture
setting from a fixed set of predefined
picture settings.

Press 34 to highlight 'Smart Picture'.

Enter its submenu by pressing 2.

Move the cursor by pressing 34 to
highlight the selected item.
Standard: select the standard picture
setting.
Bright: make the TV picture brighter.
Soft: make the TV picture softer.
