The battery is exhausted.
The battery is not in the correct
orientation.
The battery-chamber cover is not latched. Latch the battery-chamber cover.
The AC adapter and DC coupler are not
connected properly.
The battery is cold.
There is dirt on the battery terminals.
The camera is in r mode.
The battery has been charged many times.
w QUICK AF or x CLEAR DISPLAY is
selected for m POWER MANAGEMENT.
T CONTINUOUS or X TRACKING is
selected for F AF MODE.
The battery is exhausted.
The AC adapter or DC coupler has been
disconnected.

Solution
Insert a fresh or fully-charged spare battery.
Re-insert the battery in the correct
orientation.
Make sure that the AC adapter and DC
coupler are properly connected.
Warm the battery by placing it in a pocket
or other warm place and re-insert it in the
camera immediately before taking a picture.
Clean the terminals with a soft, dry cloth.
Select another shooting mode.
The battery has reached the end of its
charging life. Purchase a new battery.
Select v POWER SAVE to reduce the drain
on the battery.
Select a different AF mode.
Insert a fresh or fully-charged spare battery.
Make sure that the AC adapter and DC
coupler are properly connected.
