The Philips DECT 121 phone may ring but not connect when picked up and may not connect or produce a ringtone when dialing due to the following possible issues:
1. Base Station Connection Issue – The base station may not be properly connected to the power supply or telephone socket. Check and ensure all connections are secure. 2. Handset Too Far from Base – The handset may be out of range of the base station. Move closer to the base station. 3. Low Battery – If the battery pack is low, the handset may not function properly. Charge the batteries for at least 24 hours. 4. Handset Almost Out of Range – If the signal icon is blinking, the handset is nearly out of range. Move closer to the base station.
To resolve these issues, check the base station connections, move the handset closer, and ensure the batteries are fully charged. If the problem persists, try resetting the device by unplugging the power cord for a few seconds and reconnecting it.
